The problem

Independent instructors and small schools had to stitch together separate tools to teach online: one for course content, another for live classes, another for quizzes and grading, and something else for payments. Nothing talked to each other, and students had no single place to learn, track progress, and stay motivated.

My role

Built the full platform for all three types of users: students, instructors, and admins.

What it does

Instructors build & teach: create courses with lessons and quizzes, run live virtual classes, grade work, and issue certificates.
Students learn & progress: enroll in courses, take quizzes, join live classes, track grades, and earn certificates.
Live classrooms: a waiting room and lobby so instructors admit students into a live session.
Grading made easy: a gradebook, auto-graded quizzes, and manual scoring for written answers.
Motivation built in: points, leaderboards, and attendance tracking (both online and in-person).
Instructors get paid: subscription plans, billing, and payment handling.

The hard part

Making live classes work smoothly: students wait in a lobby, the instructor admits them, and everyone stays in sync in real time. Getting that live experience reliable, alongside fair and flexible grading (auto-scored quizzes plus manual review of written answers), took careful, detailed work.

Outcome

A complete learning platform that replaces a patchwork of separate tools with one connected system: instructors run their entire teaching business in one place, and students get a single home to learn, be graded, stay motivated, and earn recognition.
